The Reason Why i choose The Civil War

The reason why i choose the Civil War was i didnt know that much about it and watned to learn what all happend in the civil war and what kind of battles went on during that time. And i also wanted to know more about Pearl Harbor and how it all started and how long it lasted till a new battle started and in till it ended there were thousand of men killed in the pearl harbor. More and more men went to battle after alot of men were killed they werer sent to base then shipped over to there right side of the war and fought from there. And the more men that went to war the more the women had to take a roll in the mens work like doing some of the out side work. And i wanted to learn what kind of work had to do while the men were gone at war and how much harder it was for them to do it instead of working in side all day. And i also wanted to learn how many importan battles went on during the years the Civil War lasted and what impact they had on the worlds society and what impact they had on todays future.

The TimeLine of the Civil War

1861- The sout seceds and also when Abraham Lincoln was a oppenent slavery and he got selected to be president of the U.S and Sout Carolina legislature perceived a threat calling a state convention. And Abraham Lincoln sent supplies to fort sumter and they got attacked.
1862- On January 27 Lincoln took action and declared war against the confederecy. lincoln took over and kicked McClellan out of the head guy to contol the war for the side they were on . On December 1862 McClellan and Lee joined together and started the Fredericksburg war and they fought the war against Lincoln.
1863- Its when the first conscription act started which made men between the age of 20 and 45 liable to be called military serveices. On April 27 Hooker crossed the Rappahannock river to attack general Lee's forces.
1864- General GrantsWilderness Campaign had started and planned to attack General Lee's forces during the night. And the Cold Harbor had started in that year and Grant attacked the Confederates at the Pearl harbor and lost 7,000 mean in twenty minutes.
1865- This was the last year of the year but a lot of things still went on with the many diffent battles in the Civil War. And Abraham got assainated in this year in April 14 while he was watching a performance at the Fords Theater in Washington D.C and the play was Our American Cousins. And it was getting to the point were alot of soliders were starting to surrender.

The Civil War (When)

When the Civil War was April 12, 1861 to Spring of 1865 the war lasted about 5 to 6 years before it was over and a side to the victory. And the last battle of the war Was fought in Palmito Ranch, Texas on May 13, 1865.When the civil war was going on there were many other things going on at the time were people were thinking about one thing at a time istead of two or more things. And when the Civil War had started they were going to have a little battle against other territories and then it turned out to be a big deal with the eastern and western of tehe states and to make sure they had what they had wanted. The more that came to war the bigger and the more people had died going to war for there family and getting there land so they could go back to there family and have a good life and spend it with there family and friends.

What was the Civil War

What caused war was the uncompromising differneces between the free slave states over the power of national government to stop the slavery of the War. What soliders did on there free time when they were at camp and not at war was a lot of things.Some of the things they did was played dominos, writing letters to there loved ones that they missed really bad, they also played poker and many other games at camp. And they sometimes just sit and talk to there buddies about things with there family and what will the next say bring for them. What the soliders ate while they were gone at war and at the camp was not the best food they would eat but they had to eat it to stay alive and drink what ever they had at camp on on them when they went to war. Some of the stuff they ate and drank was salt pork, corn meals and what ever fruit and vegtables they could find or they had with them.They only had a few things to drink and they were coffe and water. And many soliders died from dehydrogation and starvation in the war were some soliders didnt get any thing at all. What were the 10 bloodiest wars of the Civil War was Gettysburg, Chickamauga,Spotsylvania courthouse,The Wilderness and the Stones River those were the top 5 bloodiest wars of the Civil War.

The Civil War (Who)

Who the Civil war was against was the Northern States and the Southern States and they were the Union states of the war. And there were many states in the northern and southern states of the war that were fighting to take over land and want to be the best. Who won the fight was the northerns they were the victourious ones of the war. And they were many states that were on the northern side of the war so many states had won the war. Who the two leaders of the civil war was Abraham Lincoln and Jefferson Davis and also Ulysses S. Grant was the Union General and Robert E. Lee was the Confederarte General of the civil war. Who the civil war was one of the deadlest war in U.S history they had may soliders die each and every day they were in the war and even though they died they keep fighting every day till one side one and the war was over.
